About this site

This information system was developed in 2004 by the Horus Institute and the Universidad Nacional del Sur in Bahía Blanca, Argentina (Dr. Sergio Zalba), with funds from a GEF project coordinated by the US Geological Service (USGS). The database struture was distributed to more than 20 countries in Latin America between 2005 and 2011. Some of these databases are available online (see Publications - recommended websites).

This website hosts the Brazil Invasive Alien Species Database.
